When I have more done and painted (the terrain, since the minis aren't even fully base-coated yet), I will post a better pic.

Busy doing something. . . .
. . . while I wait for stuff to get here. Getting back into the habit of painting again, and, as I said, I have been pouring out some plaster in Hirst molds. As proof that I am doing something, instead of playing facebook games all day, I offer some photographic evidence:

When I have more done and painted (the terrain, since the minis aren't even fully base-coated yet), I will post a better pic.

Filling my time
Since I am waiting on various and sundry games, I need to do something to fill my time. I am painting, but right now, it's mainly a make sure that all 40 small based Convergence infantry are fully primed black before starting on their base coat. Not too thrilling there.
But I have also started pouring plaster in my Hirst Arts molds again. I hope to have Space Hulk, Descent, and Star Wars boards done in a week or so - and then they are bound for Bartertown on eBay, because I want an airbrush and a compressor.
For all of those sets though, the pouring is the easy part - it is the assembly that takes all of the time. I really need to find a way to speed that up.

Belated post from yesterday
So, no post last night, because we were playing the IKRPG. More on that on another post. And soon. Anyway, yesterday was a banner day for adding to my collection of gaming stuff.
First, I got the first bit of swag from some of the kickstarters that I have backed. The Reaper Bones stuff I am getting in one massive shipment sometime in late spring. The Traveller one has been pushed back to January or so, due to printer delays. The Relic Knights one has yet to send out the final survey for rewards, so late spring 2013 for them, I expect. And, while the Ogre kickstarter has been delayed to early January, I did get my "I made Steve Jackson work on Car Wars" shirt yesterday. So that was cool.
Second, I got a copy of Super Dungeon Explore, and the new No Quarter. Not in time to really read the adventure in it before running IKRPG, but enough time to flip through it. Anyway, I added however many figs come in SDE to my collection. Someday I'll paint them. Honest. Really. Trust me.
Third, I finished up, and dropped off, a full Space Hulk basic board, made from Hirst Arts bricks. The recipient was a bit preoccupied with something else, but I'm going to be getting one of the new 40k sets out of it, which is going to add another 50 models or so to my collection. I might try to swap the Marines for Chaos - I have scads of marines already, but no chaos. It's not my "go-to" game by any means, but it's a steady fall-back if I ever need it.
Last - I have some terrain projects that I want to wrap up soon. I want to get them done, and get them gone - so that I have money for some more Malifaux figs, and some Warmahordes stuff that I have had my eye on for a while.

Motivation, but almost no painting
I have been spending a lot of time in the basement lately, working on stuff, but very little of it has been painting. While I have worked on a couple of models, I haven't actually finished anything. Instead, I have been pouring the plaster for one of the starship corridor sets from Hirst Arts. And one of the Star Wars sets. And parts of two more Star Wars sets. Plus about four other molds.
Or, put another way - I have been pouring something to the tune of 16 to 18 molds, twice per day. Or more. I've pretty much lost count at this point. But, the starship corridor set (aka Space Hulk board) is almost done - I want to have it done by Friday morning, so that it can get out of the house. (It's trade for one of the new 40k box sets.) Then I start work in earnest on assembling the Star Wars sets - they are actually harder than the Space Hulk one.
And yes, I am going to get something painted for this month, though it won't be much. Bubba probably won't be done until the middle of next month. But, soccer is winding down, as are some other activities - so I will have Saturdays free once more, and can start losing with my various armies again.

More Hirst Arts goodness.
Not sure if I have said it before, but I am a license holder for Hirst Arts. Basically, it means that I sell kits, or sell in excess of $1k per year - both of which are true, for a loose enough definition of "true." At some point, possibly beginning next year, I need to move forward with making it an actual business, but that's another post.
Anyway, in the last couple of days, I have had 200 pounds of Ultracal 30, and 100 pounds of dental plaster delivered. And today, I got 5 more molds - all ones for making the Space Hulk board. I already have the molds to make the board, but the addition of these turns it from a month-long project into one that can be done in a couple of weeks.
So, tonight, in addition to trying to get some painting done, I need to pour some plaster and start assembling some things for sale again. I don't make much, but it does pay for more Hirst Arts stuff, and helps keep me in miniatures.

Terrain project
This has been taking up some time as well. I'm hitting the overall halfway point, more or less, and hope to have it looking mostly finished in a couple of days, if I can find the time to work on it. And then, I'll be getting rid of it. I built it mainly to see what the Space Hulk set from Hirst Arts would look like in person. The answer is pretty nice. (Disclaimer - I do have a license, and do sell kits from time to time.)

Anyway, I'm thinking that I need some khador jacks, and another gun carriage. And maybe some more Nephilim, or at least a few more harriers.

Back in the saddle (so to speak)
I didn't have a whole lot of painting or hobby time this past week, but I did get at least something done:

Okay, I did get some painting done too:

The terrain is a Space Hulk board, made using Hirst Arts blocks. I plan on painting it up, but I am not certain if I will keep it, or get rid of it just yet. I have the molds to redo it as many times as I want, but I am running low on Ultracal 30, so that is a consideration.
Anyway, I am hoping to finish up the three jacks in a couple of days, but I will confess that I fully expect to be distracted once again by the middle of the week. Why? Well, the friendly mail carrier will be leaving several packages, one of which will contain Wrath, a long-overdue Merc deck, and a box of the Ogrun Assault Corps. And, within a day or so of that, I will be getting one of the Rhulic casters (Madhammer, IIRC), and a bunch of Rhulic jacks. And thus, I will have a 35 pt Merc army - and so, the only faction for which I will not be able to field 35 points will be Legion. And it's next. I hope to hit 35 in Legion by the end of July - which leaves me the rest of the year to get each faction up to 50. Some are already done, and others need only a unit or two. They may not be competitive, but that's another matter.
