And not a little horror. I'm still not done with cataloging everything, but I made more progress today. The kids had a half day of school, so I lost some serious painting and counting time. Here are the counts, as of a few minutes ago:

I'll see about clearing some of that up tomorrow.
In the meantime, I'm hoping to get in a few games of WWX tomorrow. Need to start playing so that I can get a good handle on the rules between now and AdeptiCon.

Almost halfway?
So, I lost all the stuff I had been logging yesterday. I made a plea for a new collection tracker on the PP forums, and lo, my plea was answered. It's been a long day, and I've had a couple of drinks to unwind from several hours of counting little metal men, so I'll keep this brief.
To date, I have cataloged something like 412 miniatures, broken down (roughly) as follows:
Cryx - 42
Cygnar - 27
Khador - 29
Protectorate -10
Retribution - 10
Convergence - 86
Mercenaries - 25
Circle - 23
Legion - 18
Skorne - 12
Trollbloods - 55
Minions - 75
Per the calculator, I currently have 56.74% of the casters (though it includes, among other things, all of the ones from the KS - which I will be getting). I have 23.51% of all the available models - but it will be considerably higher, obviously. And, it says that 17.45% of what I have is painted - but it counts a unit of 10 as being 1 model in this case, so that number is whacked.
I'll bet that I plug in another 200 models or more tomorrow. This is kind of interesting - I knew I had most of the casters - looks like the current count is 80, but it is still shy by at least half a dozen.

A wasted afternoon
So, I'm now looking for a new collection tracker, other than forwrdkommander. I've used it, it's not bad, except for this:
I logged out of FK on the desktop upstairs. I take the laptop to the basement, log in to forwardkommander, and begin to track everything. I mean, everything - I started with a blank slate, and began to rebuild the omnibus list.
I had some 200 or so models logged, and so I logged out on the laptop. When upstairs, started making dinner, and logged in on the desktop. And half of the models are no longer logged. So, basically, I can redo about half of what I had logged over the course of the afternoon. Except, I need to sort them out, and see which models are still logged, and which are not.* (E.g. - the last thing I logged, my units of gatormen, are still there. My convergence, which I had logged previously, is now gone.)
I have a thousand or so WM models, spread across every faction. I'm trying to build an omnibus list so I can (1) ensure that I have every warcaster/warlock for Who's the Boss events, and (2) not buy solos or other models that I have, but have forgotten about.
So, tl;dr - collection tracker wonkiness lost an hour or more's worth of work today. Yay for wasted time, right?

Playing hooky
I should be running. I should be writing for NaNoWriMo. I should be painting. (Please note - things like laundry, dishes, cleaning, etc did not even come close to making the list.) Instead, I am playing hooky from those things, and trying to input my collection into Forward Kommander.
So, at the moment, here are the following stats:
Cygnar: 3 models, 33% painted
Cryx 17 models, 52% painted

Why, oh why?
So, I used to keep track of my collection via ibodger. Well, that's gone now, and so I am currently doing a complete inventory of everything I have and putting it into Forward Kommander, since I do not have any device which will run the War Room app.
Unfortunately, I am not seeing a way to display and save my collection from Forward Kommander, which is what I really want to do. I want to make a giant list again, and have it somewhere, so that people can ask me to bring specific models, and so that I know what I have at a fairly quick glance.
Maybe I should do some more poking around before I inventory the next hundred models or so.

Basement cleaning, con't
For various and sundry reasons, some of them even tangentially related to gaming, I have not finished rounding up all my Chronopia stuff. I hope to do that tonight. I had forgotten just how much of it that I had - I have pretty complete armies for four different races, and, were I so inclined, I could hunt down a couple of units and singles for a fifth one, and it would be playable as well.
But, I want them gone. The Reaper tally is going to be north of 200 figs, the Relic Knights will probably come close to half of that. I doubt that I have 300 Chronopia figs, but I probably have more than a third of it.
Of course, the sad part is that I am planning on selling most of it, and some portion of it will surely wind up buying more figs. I am leaning toward Malifaux at the moment - not because I have any dissatisfaction with Warmachine, but because (1) I am distracted by New Shiny Syndrome; and (2) I want to pretend that I am catching up on my WM/H models for a while.
I still have plans to have at least one decent 50 point list for every faction, contract and compact by the end of the year. I think (just off the top of my head) that I still need a few things for Circle, some pirates and some rhulic stuff, but I am pretty close on those.

What I did not pick up
I did not pick up Leviathans or Super Dungeon Explore. Both look fun, both look interesting, both have a $100 price tag. I want to play a demo before I buy them.
I also did not buy the Rail Crew starter for Leviathan. I will be ordering it - I need to check and see how long the free shipping code is good. (They were distributing free shipping codes to people who wanted the rail crew set, as an apology for not having it at the con. Very classy. And, with what I save on shipping, I could add . . .NO! Stop! No more!)
I wanted to pick up some Warlands stuff, but Aberrant apparently had booth space, and then got bumped not too long before the con. I did not get a free shipping code, but I did get a 20% discount code, good through the end of the month.
Anyway, GenCon was a blast, and, while it was expensive, a lot of it was defrayed, mainly because I sold a lot of stuff at the auction. Don't know yet if I can manage to swing a trip next year - otherwise, I can start saving now for 2014. In the meantime, I will need to re-inventory my Warmachine collection (since ibodger does not track all of the models anymore), and get to work learning new rules, priming figs, and reducing the pile of lead, plastic, and resin.

The sad thing is that 4 of them are painted. Yep, 4. There are more that are "done," but I am not counting them, since they are headed for the strip bath later on this week. There are perhaps 50 or 60 more that are very close to being finished - a few evenings of dedicated work would finish the unit of Immortals, a minimum unit of Gatormen, a couple of Cryx jacks, Hakar, and so forth. And, for the record, although not everything is assembled and primed, most of it is, and most models even have some color on them. (Yes, I am grasping at straws here. . . cut me some slack, right?)
Anyway, in addition to the inventory, and the priming of the two models earlier, I got the backpacks onto a full unit (plus command) of Houseguard riflemen, and they got primed as well. Not the most productive day, but certainly not something to be ashamed of, either.

Yep, 601 figures. On a faction basis, it breaks down as follows:
Cryx - 69 models

The sad thing is that 4 of them are painted. Yep, 4. There are more that are "done," but I am not counting them, since they are headed for the strip bath later on this week. There are perhaps 50 or 60 more that are very close to being finished - a few evenings of dedicated work would finish the unit of Immortals, a minimum unit of Gatormen, a couple of Cryx jacks, Hakar, and so forth. And, for the record, although not everything is assembled and primed, most of it is, and most models even have some color on them. (Yes, I am grasping at straws here. . . cut me some slack, right?)
Anyway, in addition to the inventory, and the priming of the two models earlier, I got the backpacks onto a full unit (plus command) of Houseguard riflemen, and they got primed as well. Not the most productive day, but certainly not something to be ashamed of, either.
